Welcome to Mind & Memory Nutrition!

Exploring the connection between diet & mind.

Hi there! I’m Brianne, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist on a mission to research the connection between food intake and brain health & customize recipes structured around the science.

If you’ve been feeling emotional, sluggish, or struggling to make it through the day without a nap or extra cup of coffee- it could be related to what you’re eating (or not eating).

When we think about the connection between diet and health most people tend to think about chronic disease (heart issues, diabetes, gastrointestinal problems). Rarely do we hear about the link between diet and our mind.

Diet can have a profound effect on neuronal and brain development, function, and health and is believed to have a correlation with mental health.

I’ve found myself struggling numerous times with concentration, sleep, energy, and overall mental health, which is why I began this research.

If you’re looking for foods to boost your mood, increase energy, aid in sleep or concentration, improve memory, optimize your mental health, or even prevent dementia-look no further than Mind & Memory Nutrition. We’ll also review meal management strategies for those living with dementia or recovering from addiction.

I’m not a fan of diet restrictions so this page will focus on the addition of certain foods. Nutrition research can be confusing so I’m here to break down the science and discuss ways to improve brain health through food. The goal is to hand you the tools to live your best life!

to be being healthy means feeling good about the choices I'm making, and most important, it's about keeping fit mentally and physically. I'm constantly reminding myself it's not about my thighs: it's about my commitment and my happiness level. -kristen bell
